On Thursday, June 10, 2021, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will be holding two virtual public hearings to gather public input on service changes planned for Fall 2021. These changes are part of a larger, long-range plan to improve service in many West Bay and South County communities. A public workshop on the broader plan was held last month and there will more opportunity for discussion in the future.
Thursday’s virtual hearings will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm, and from 6 pm to 8 pm. To participate, please sign up in advance by emailing marketing@ripta.com or by leaving a message at 401-784-9500 x1242.
The routes that will be affected by the fall changes are Routes 8X, 13, 14, 21, 22, 29, 30, 62, 66, 203, 210 and 231. Details are available at https://www.ripta.com/Fall2021/. Also attached are Neighborhood Impact Statements for the proposed fall changes.
