The Parks Division is currently overseeing the installation of a safety netting system on the baseball field at Old Mountain Field.  This project is funded through the Town Capital Improvement program. The system will be supported by thirty foot steel posts and wrap around the backstop to the edge of both dugouts, to protect spectators and prevent foul balls from entering other areas of the park.   With high school and college level baseball games regularly played at Old Mountain field, the netting system is critical to ensuring the safety of all park patrons.
