The Town of South Kingstown has been advised by the Rhode Island Department of Health that it will be receiving 150 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, to be provided to senior residents, age 75 and older, on January 31 and February 3, at the Regional South Road School distribution site. Under the guidance of the Department of Health , the Town will be using the Rhode Island Special Needs Emergency Registry database to schedule appointments. Residents on the registry will be contacted via telephone between January 28th and February 2nd to schedule an appointment. Once all residents on the Special Needs Emergency Registry have been immunized, the Town will identify residents over the age of 75, using databases including voter registration, senior housing and senior center membership.
As the Town receives additional doses in the coming weeks, residents 75 and older will be contacted, via telephone, to schedule an appointment. This is a fluid situation and the Town asks for the public’s patience. For more information on the State's Covid-19 vaccine roll-out please visit https://covid.ri.gov/vaccination.
