Governor Raimondo announced the State’s reopening strategy available online at ReopeningRI.com.   The plan, Charting the Course, outlines the Governor’s phased approach that includes Weathering the Storm, Phase 1 Testing the Water, Phase 2 Navigating our Way, Phase 3 Picking up Speed, and then Eventually We Will Land.

While we are still under a State and Local Declaration of Emergency, on Saturday May 9th, 2020 Rhode Island begins Phase 1 ‘Testing the Waters’ of the Governor’s Reopening RI plan.

The Stay as Home Order has been lifted, but we should still just be ‘testing the waters’, and staying close to home. Vulnerable populations are strongly encouraged to continue stay at home.

Gatherings remain limited to 5, and social distancing is still necessary. As a reminder, the Governor announced an executive order directing everyone in a public place – whether indoors or outdoors – to wear a cloth face mask, so please remember to grab your mask when you grab your keys, wallet, and phone.

For Phase 1 general workplace guidelines; guidance for faith-based organizations; guidance for parks and recreation including guidance for State parks, golf courses, and seasonal campgrounds; restaurant guidance, and retail store and garden center guidance, guidelines, and even a compliance certification poster, visit ReopeningRI.com.

Check ReopeningRI.com often as the State continues to update the site with additional resources, and as we continue to move toward Phase 2 Navigating our Way, Phase 3 Picking up Speed, and finally Eventually We Will Land.
