In an effort to promote a healthy and sustainable community, the Town Council this past spring adopted a Plastic Reduction Ordinance that will go into effect January 1, 2019 banning the use of single use plastic carryout bags for retail businesses in South Kingstown.  The Town stands ready to assist our residents and businesses as this new effort is rolled out.
