3:00 PM--4:00 PM: “From Slaves to Soldiers: The 1st Rhode Island  Regiment in the American Revolution”. Kingston Free Library will host this South County History Center program featuring historian Bob Geake, Tomaquag Museum Director Lorén Spears, and the important story, documented in their recent book, of the 1st Rhode Island Regiment in the American Revolutionary War, a regiment  composed of indentured servants, Narragansett people and formerly enslaved people.
