Filmmaker Markham Starr’s work focuses on vanishing ways of life and work in the Rhode Island fishing community. The film follows the Maria Mendonsa, Amelia Bucolo, and North Star, three vessels out of Point Judith and Sakonnet that still practice traditional trap fishing, a method now largely replaced by trawler techniques.
