A recent inspection found the stone culvert on Walmsley Lane to be in disrepair and in need of immediate replacement. The culvert is located just south of 129 Walmsley Lane.
Work will begin on Monday, September 17, 2012, weather permitting, and will continue for approximately three (3) working days. Walmsley Lane will be closed to traffic during construction. Property owners north of the culvert are encouraged to access Walmsley Lane via Route 1 north and property owners south of the culvert via Bridgetown Road. The Town hopes to have the road passable to vehicles by the end of each workday. Final asphalt road repairs will be scheduled for a later date.
South Kingstown and North Kingstown police, EMS, fire and school bus providers have been notified of this pending construction.
