Seasonal residents who would like their water turned on or off should call the Water Division office at (401) 789-9331 extension 2257 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A $7 charge will appear on your annual water bill for each turn on and turn off service.
The property owner or a representative be present when the water is turned on or off. If you are unable to meet us, the owner has the option of completing an affidavit giving the Water Division permission to perform this service without you or a representative being present.
Click on the attachment below for the affidavit form. Please complete and return the form with an original signature. Upon receipt, the affidavit will be filed. Property owners still need to call the office at (401) 789-9331 extension 2257 to schedule a time to have the water turned on or off.
