Q. What do I do with weekly household trash?
For each bag of trash you generate, place a "tag" on the bag prior to disposal. "Tags" are sold in lots of 5 and may be purchased at Town Hall or the RHRTS. Click here for the current refuse "tag" price.
Q. What do I do with leaves and yard waste?
There are two ways to dispose of leaves and yard waste:
- 1. You can purchase Yard Waste "tags" to dispose of leaves and grass clippings in your brown paper yard waste bags. Click here for the current yard waste "tag" price.
- 2. You can take miscellaneous yard waste over the scale and pay 3.5¢ per pound (there's a $5.00 minimum).
Q. Do I need a sticker for my car?
No. When you arrive, just follow the signs to recycle, drop off tagged waste or have bulky items weighed.
Q. I have an old couch and some construction material I’d like to get rid of. What do I do?
It's easy. When you drive in, bear right to the scale house. The attendant will weigh your vehicle full, weigh it empty and charge you by the pound for the difference (there's a $5.00 minimum charge). Click here for the current per pound price for bulky waste.
