 Summer Job Employment Opportunities  
   The South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the following summer positions. Applications forms are available at the front desk. Nature Programs Coordinator   $10 per hour
Part Time - Flexible

An opportunity exists for someone to be responsible for the planning, organizing and coordination of the environmental education programs in the Recreation Division. Responsibilities include researching, implementing and evaluating programs and classes; preparing written materials for marketing purposes; as well as staffing, coordinating and supervising all programs for the Nature Center. The schedule for this year round position varies based on seasonal demands. This position pays $10 per hour and does not include any fringe benefits. MIN REQ:  Qualified candidates will have college course work in environmental education and a minimum of two years of related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
 

Preschool Teacher   13.25 per hour
School Year

The Recreation Division has an opportunity at our historic Stepping Stone School for someone to assume the responsibilities of Preschool Teacher in the 3 year-old classroom starting September 2nd 2008. This class meets two days per week on Wednesday afternoon 12:45 3:00 pm and Friday mornings 9:0011:30 am. The work schedule is Wednesday 12:15-3:15 pm and Friday 8:30-11:45 am. You must be available mid-August for training. This position, which pays $13.25 per hour, includes additional work opportunities in the Recreation Department. MIN REQ:  To qualify, you must have a degree in Early Childhood Education, or a CDA with AA, BA is preferred. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, responsible and have the proven ability to relate to and teach preschoolers in a classroom setting.
