Department of Public Services - WATER
Mission Statement
The Water Division provides continuous municipal water for both domestic use and fire protection for the geographic area lying south of U.S. Route 1 from Green Hill to East Matunuck, including the Perryville area. Water is obtained via three gravel-packed wells adjacent to Factory Pond and stored in two 400,000 gallon elevated hydrospheroid water tanks located in East Matunuck and Green Hill. The Water Division also purchases wholesale water from United Water Rhode Island to service customers in the Middlebridge area.
