   Welcome to the Town of South Kingstown's new Web Site. The site includes documents with details and information concerning the Town Council, Town Departments, Boards and Commissions, and Policies and Procedures related to town government in South Kingstown. Visitors can also access selected Town documents including Town Council agendas and minutes, meeting schedules and frequently asked questions. Links to other relevant sites are also provided.

New Curbside Recycling Information
The Town of South Kingstown is pleased to announce that beginning September 1st, residents currently using private haulers for refuse collection service will be able to dispose of their recyclables curbside.


Budget Adoption Process
On November 7, 2006 the electors of the Town of South Kingstown approved amendments to the Town Charter providing for a new budget adoption process. The budget adoption process requires that prior to December 31st of each year a summary of the budget adoption process be published along with a tentative budget schedule. Please note that meetings are subject to change: take notice of agendas posted at the Town Hall, Peace Dale Library and this website.

VOTING INFORMATION FOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th

   All polling places will be open from 7 am to 9 pm for the Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 4th. To check your voter status, or where you go to vote, click on the Voter Information link under the Features column on the left hand side of this web page. You may also click on the Voting District Map link for a list of the polling locations. If you have further questions, contact the Board of Canvassers at 789-9331, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Voter turnout is expected to be heavy, especially from 7 am to 9 am, and from 5 pm to 8 pm: if possible, plan on voting during off-peak hours.
