The Housing Rehabilitation Set Aside Program provides income eligible residents of South Kingstown with grant funding to address health and safety concerns in their current homes. As part of this program the Town, with its partner agency the Washington County CDC, works to define the scope of work for necessary improvements to homes and manages the process of completing the improvements using qualified contractors. This program provides grant funding for improvements to individual homes.
Low- and Moderate-Income Qualifications
To be eligible to receive funding applicants must earn at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. The Area Median Income changes annually. To view the Department of Housing and Urban Development income guidelines click here.
How to Apply
Applications for Housing Rehab projects are accepted on a rolling basis. Residents who are interested in learning if they are eligible to participate in the program, or what type of improvements can be funded, are encouraged to contact the Washington County Community Development Corporation (CDC) who administers this program on behalf of the Town.
