Requests for bids and proposals are advertised in the local newspaper, The Independent.
In addition, the Town of South Kingstown participates in a Vendor E-mail Notification System with other RI Municipalities where the public can view all Town Bids (open and closed) and view bid tabulations. The system allows vendors who register to be notified by email of upcoming bid solicitations. After registering online, bid specifications are available for download and printing. For closed (Expired) bids that have been "awarded," details of the award and backup documents can be found via the Town's Clerkbase System.
Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the proper title endorsed thereon and addressed and delivered to:

Bids will be awarded to the lowest evaluated responsive bidder. Bidder must show evidence that their equipment and/or services meet or exceeds the specifications. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must call 401-792-9642 (TDD) at least 72 hours in advance of the bid opening date.
